Seal Existing Pavement Joints

Apply QuikJoint over the top of an existing pavement joint and heat it to bond to the surface, helping resist water intrusion and raveling.

Applied on the finished pavement surface.

Protect Pavement Edges

Run QuikJoint continuously along the pavement edge with a 1–2 inch return on top and coverage down the exposed sloped HMA edge.

QuikJoint terminates before the gravel/aggregate base.

JointBanding

Line Repair Patches

Apply QuikJoint to the vertical faces of the repair area before placing new HMA. Heat from the mix softens the material so it can migrate laterally into adjacent HMA voids.

Helps densify the old-to-new HMA interface and reduce pathways for water infiltration.

Position QuikJoint beneath the planned longitudinal joint before placing hot mix asphalt so heat and compaction can promote migration into the joint region.
